Forward Kenosha Advocacy Group founding member and acting President, Jodi Muerhoff, is a native of Racine, Wisconsin, and graduate of UW-Whitewater. She has ten years experience as an early childhood special education teacher. A resident of Kenosha for over 20 years, she is a wife and a mother of four adult children.
Ms. Muerhoff has served on the boards of the parent teacher organizations at Southport Elementary, KTEC middle school, and Tremper High School. She started and ran the student newspaper club at the Kenosha School of Technology Enhanced Curriculum (KTEC). Ms. Muerhoff co-chaired the Kenosha County PTA Founder’s Day Auction for five years and has served as a volunteer and fundraiser with Women and Children’s Horizons for the past two years.
While Ms. Muerhoff canvassed for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 and made calls for the Democratic Party in 2016, she was not actively involved in politics prior to the 2016 election. Since the 2016 election, Ms. Muerhoff has become inspired to understand the issues and motivated to work toward making Kenosha a safer, more diverse and inclusive place for all of its citizens through her work with Forward Kenosha Advocacy Group.
