Town Hall For Our Lives
Students on Gun Violence
Kenosha students are concerned about gun violence, in our schools and in our community. Congress has failed to address their concerns so the students responded to the Parkland survivor's call for a national day of town halls on April 7th and hosted their own Town Hall For Our Lives. Since Paul Ryan declined their invitation, his challenger Cathy Myers attended the town hall. The student organizers, Ms. Myer and community members shared their feelings about gun violence, its impact and their desire to see Congress act on legislation to protect us all. They reminded us that WE are the government and we need to make this happen by electing officials who will responde to the demands of their constituents.
