Tell Wisconsin Lawmakers to preserve net neutrality in our state!
Governors in Montana and New York just signed executive orders mandating that all Internet providers with state contracts must abide by net neutrality rules.
The executive orders come on the heels of more than two dozen state-level bills intended to defy the FCC’s terrible decision to allow companies like Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T to control our online experience with new fees, throttling, and censorship.
And these measures aren’t just in coastal tech centers, they’re everywhere, and being introduced by both Democrats and Republicans.
These local initiatives are important. Not only do they put real business pressure on the ISPs to abide by net neutrality, they help show our Federal lawmakers in Congress how unpopular the FCC’s decision was, and builds the case for them to overturn it using the Congressional Review Act (CRA).
