End Partisan Gerrymandering

March 21, 2019

In 6 days, Common Cause’s lawsuit challenging North Carolina’s Republican gerrymander -- Rucho v. Common Cause -- will go before the nation’s highest court.

If we win, we'll set a nationwide precedent to end partisan gerrymandering -- launching a domino effect to strike down rigged maps not just in North Carolina, but in all 50 states.

Just imagine: in one fell swoop, we could revolutionize how our government represents us. This would be one of the biggest shifts of power from political insiders to the American people in a generation -- but in this home stretch, we need your voice to secure a victory.

The Court needs to hear loud and clear from everyday Americans like you and me that we demand -- and deserve -- fair maps. And because we’ve got just a few days until the justices hear oral arguments, your voice is needed now more than ever.

Tell SCOTUS: We must end gerrymandering and make the process of drawing electoral maps impartial -- so that our government is truly of, by, and for the people.

Our elections are supposed to represent the will of the voters -- but right now, partisan lawmakers have the power to manipulate district maps to keep themselves and their friends in office.

With Rucho v. Common Cause, we have a chance to end this practice for good. If we win this case, we’d see gerrymandered maps struck down in state after state. This could be the single biggest development for our democracy in 2019.

Now is the time to speak out for voters and demand fair maps.
